WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY TREE
By T. Kawakami

Contents
Introduction
I have compiled this information to the best of my knowledge. I'm interested in corresponding with individuals researching these particular families and sharing information. If you find any problems or have any comments, please send a note.
The family Koseki was translated in 1992. See Short Family Tree Chart
NOTE: Be aware that Kawaue can be Kawakami within this family connection. I'm not sure when the difference occurred or why. American roots say Kawakami and Japan roots say Kawaue. It's hard to tell in written translation, unless actually hearing it from that family. Around 1998, I had learned of this difference in pronunciation.

KAWAUA Seikichi is our earliest Japanese ancestor from Inamiura, now Inami-cho, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama-ken, Japan. His son was KAWAUA Sanzo, b. Kaei 2 [1849] 7month, 1day in Inamiura, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama-ken, Japan, married Toku YOSHIKAWA Toku, b. Ansei 4 [1857] in Inamiura, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama-ken, Japan. In a letter from a family member it was said that the family has been Jodo Shinshu for many generations but no further history is known. It is my hope to further my research of the family through Buddhist Temple Records or Kakochô [Kawaue and Kawakami are written the same in kanji. Not sure why the difference in pronunciation or when it first occurred. I assume it happened when Seijiro first came to the USA.]
Other Roots:
Edward R. MUMPER of Illinois, U. S. Navy.
Henry J. MAAG of Los Angeles to Louis PINARD. Louis Pinard, is our French ancestor, b. 12 July 1634 at St. Margaret Parish in France. In 1647, at the age of 13, Louis Pinard I, came over to New France with Father Lalemant, Jesuit, and his uncle Guillaume Feniou.
I would also appreciate any history and information about these family lines including information on Louise Mary DELGADO aka Louise Mary AMADOR's family lines. I am stuck on this particular family line.
A couple of years ago I lost all of my computer data from Reunion. I was in the process of backing it all up. My computer was acting up, and I put it off until I could figure out what was going on, but I was told to reformat my disk, so I did. I probably shouldn't have done that because I lost 10 years of computer data, and I have not been in the mood to re-type all that information. So I don't have any GED files for my self or to share. Since this is a Japanese Genealogical site, I've remove my other family names not of Japanese ancestry or relation by marriage in order to focus this site on Japanese research.
Please share your family history with your kids, it's a history they should know. Else it will be lost forever, or will become harder to find.
